Initiation ritual. Retrieve Mary's medallion from the Olivia satellite station
Many inexperienced Fallout 4 players cannot figure out how to kill the swamp queen. In fact, the answer to this question is simple: you take it and kill it like any other mob. But first things first.
The Swamp Queen is one of the most powerful mobs in Fallout 4. It is a kind of mini-boss, which also has a number of abilities that make fighting it very difficult for an unleveled character. Unlike ordinary swampers, the swamp queen is capable of not only fighting hand-to-hand, but also attacking from afar with jets of acid that cause significant damage to the character, so simply shooting her from afar, periodically running away, will not work. In addition, the queen constantly gives birth to her cubs, which, although they do not cause much harm to the Persian, when there are a large number, they begin to noticeably get in the way and jump in front of the face, making it difficult to shoot.
However, the swamp queen also has its own weaknesses, which make it easy to destroy it, earning good experience. The swamp queen is the largest mob in the game, so it is unable to penetrate small rooms and dilapidated buildings. Hiding there and hiding from the jets of acid, the player can easily shoot it without receiving a single damage.
Although this mob can be found in other parts of the Commonwealth, usually the first meeting with the swamp queen occurs in the quest “Assault on Fort Independence” to clear the Castle given away by the Minutemen. And if the player has not studied the walkthrough of Fallout 4 in advance, it comes as a real surprise to him. However, even if you are poorly prepared for battle, you can deal with the swamp queen.
A small nuance: if you feel that you came to storm Fort Independence too early and are absolutely unable to kill the swamp queen, no matter what they shoot at her, postpone completing the quest and simply run away from the location - this will not threaten to worsen relations with the Minutemen. And the swamp queen will leave the Castle herself and move to the river flowing past, and will sit there calm and non-aggressive, so it will be much easier to get close to her and shoot with something heavy.
So how do you kill a swamp queen?
1. The easiest option is to shoot it with the Fat Man, carefully sneaking up to the mob. The Fat Man is a bit tricky to aim, so you may have to expend a few mininukes, so bring a few spares with you. Most likely, even with minimal character leveling, 2-3 shots hitting the target will be enough. Don't forget that the weight of each charge is 12 units.
2. Hide in any building or within the walls of a castle and shoot the swamp queen from some weapon at high speed - “plasma”, Gauss carbine or shotgun.
3. When completing the quest “Assault on Fort Independence”, you can pre-mined the place where the swamp queen entered the Castle with several plasma mines.
4. If you have upgraded the “Ninja” perk, which increases damage with melee weapons by 10 times, then you can kill the swamp mother with melee weapons by sneaking up on her. A super hammer is an excellent choice for this method.
How to kill the swamp queen and get maximum experience
For a leveled-up player, a swamp womb is not only a completely harmless mob, but also a source of a large amount of experience. However, to get the maximum amount of experience points per kill, you need to act in a cunning way.
You will need the third rank of the Savant perk, which allows you to receive triple experience for kills within a minute after the ability of the same name is triggered. Hide from the swamp mother behind various buildings and destroy her cubs (a combat knife is best for this - quickly and without the need to reload) until the Savant works. After this, you need to kill the swamp queen within a minute in any way, for example, shoot her with a Gauss.
“The more painful it is to fall” is an achievement in Fallout 4. Earned after killing five giant creatures (Beast, Ancient Beast, Swan and Swamp Queen). They're like mini-bosses: healthy, tough monsters scattered around. This guide will show you where to find giant creatures in Fallout 4, how to defeat them and unlock the “The Harder to Fall” trophy.
If you enter into battle with a companion, make sure that you are the one who fired the last shot, otherwise the kill will not count.
monster
The monster is a huge super mutant, armed with a massive club with a hydrant at the end and a basket full of stones on its back. When fighting them, you should keep your distance - the club deals a lot of damage and is difficult to dodge. When the Beast can't reach you, he starts throwing stones - you can dodge them by jumping away at the right moment. Be sure to have stimulants and ammo available. A good set of Power Armor can't hurt.
Location of the Beasts
This Monster walks west of Reconnaissance bunker Teta, on the northern border of the map. Make him chase you to the entrance to the bunker - you can climb onto the roof and shoot from there. He will throw stones, but will not be able to reach you.
This one patrols the swamp between Suffolk County Private School And Gunsmith Square, on South. Hide behind the trees - when he approaches, run to the next tree.
Follow the highway southwest Walden Pond. The monster is in the center of a circle of cars (Like Stonehenge, only with cars instead of stones). The easiest way to defeat him is to climb onto the freeway and shoot him with a sniper rifle.
Uterus of Bolotnikov
Swamp Queens are incredibly large swampworts. They will tear you apart with their claws, spit poison, and send little cubs to chase you. Our favorite way to counter them is to lure them onto mines and throw grenades at them. You need to be quick on your feet and know the terrain well - bumping your back into an obstacle while kiting means death. Stock up on mines/grenades, as well as stimulants. These creatures are very fast, so Power Armor is a must.
Location of Swamp Queens
Minutemen one of the main factions in Fallout 4. Upon completion of their storyline, players will receive a “unique” ending. The Minutemen are very loyal to the player’s cooperation with other factions, so you can safely complete their tasks without regard to other associations. If you want to be on good terms with the Minutemen and complete all their missions, then this guide is for you. We will also tell you how to stay on good terms with other factions for as long as possible. By its nature, this guide CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS.
Joining the Minutemen occurs at the very beginning of the game, during the first quests in Concord. Further, your affairs with the faction will go through. Like all factions, the Minutemen have main story quests, side quests (appear randomly; after completing a certain number, they begin to repeat), quests to help settlements (these can later be owned), and random quests (in which you help settlements already under attack). your management).
Minutemen are a good choice for players who plan to build a lot of settlements. Missions related to the Minutemen: Call of Freedom, The First Step, General Gathering (alliance between three settlements), Assault on Fort Independence, Old Cannons, Defense of the Castle.
Call of Freedom, First Step, General Gathering are very simple quests and are completed at the very beginning of the game, so we won’t dwell on them.
Assault on Fort Independence
The goal is to free the Castle. At the very beginning, you have three options to attack the fortress. The main question here is how to kill the Swamp Queen. I was level 22 when I completed this quest, and Matka was level 50. I killed her with the help of Power Armor and launching three mini-nuclear strikes from the faithful Fat Man.
Old Guns
To start the quest, you need to wait three in-game days after completing the Assault on Fort Independence. Preston will send you to the Castle to meet with Ronnie Shaw (you can go straight to the castle without talking to Preston, she will be waiting for you). You have to destroy a tough robot named Sergeant (be careful, he explodes upon death). The reward is artillery schemes. Once built, you will be able to strike anywhere on the map within the area of effect.
Important
If you have progressed well in the storyline and started doing tasks for the Institute, there is a chance of becoming an enemy of the Minutemen. As you progress, you will reach a manor where there will be several Minutemen fighters. By agreeing to help them, you will ruin relations with the Institute. If your Charisma is high, you can convince the Minutemen to retreat. This will allow you to remain allied with both factions.
Castle defense
If at any point you and the Institute become enemies, the Minutemen will give you a task to build 8 settlements. Once this is done, the Institute attacks the Castle. Some tips for combat. Defend yourself using the advantages of the building, prepare in advance - patch up holes in the walls and install several turrets. Synths will teleport through walls in an attempt to shut down your generators. Place them inside the armory - this way they can power your turrets and make them easier to defend. Dress the settlers in the castle in any clothes and give them weapons. Just make sure you're defensive before starting the quest.
Nuclear Option
So, you have decided to be at enmity with the Father and do not want to work for the Brotherhood of Steel or the Underground. After the Castle Defense, Preston decides that the Minutemen are strong enough to attack the Institute. I won't tell you the details, but you will make your way into the Institute and reach the armored doors. You need to get into the Father's office and use his password to open these doors. In the terminal in the same office, you can give an order for evacuation, disabling some of the Synths and saving several lives.
Completing the game as the Minutemen is, according to many, the only good ending to the game. You will have to take care of many settlements, making sure that everything works like a clock. But the feeling of satisfaction from feeling like a “good guy” (if there is such a thing in Fallout) cannot be conveyed. A big plus of the faction is the ability, up to a certain point, to simultaneously develop relations with other associations.
Walking through Far Harbor side quests ClaraOswald 6361July 6, 2016 18:22
Fraction: Residents of Far Harbor
Who issues: Teddy Wright
Locations to explore:
- Far Harbor
- Coast by Emmett's Road
After helping some Far Harbor residents on the quest "Life on the Edge," Teddy Wright, a local doctor, comes up with a crazy way to win the respect of the island's stubborn residents. You need to perform the “Captain's Dance”, this is how in ancient times the islanders chose their leaders. As legends say, the strongest, most severe and most insane applicants entered the water and began to lure the monsters of the island to themselves. After the potential captain killed the queen of the swampweed, the fogweed, or the one who crawled, he called the inhabitants of the island and shared the spoils with them. If you manage to “dance,” you won’t be appointed captain, but you will definitely be respected.
Teddy Wright takes you to an area favored by swampers - on the coast, near Emmett's road. Go there and throw a piece of any meat into the water to attract the attention of these creatures. And he will make sure that someone witnesses your feat.
Throw meat into water
The area with the swampers is located on the western part of the island, get to it, and along the way, you may come across some creature, whose meat you will then use for bait.
To start the Captain's Dance, you need to lure out the local fauna by throwing fresh meat into the water. To do this, you need to go to the “PREV” item in your Pip-Boy, select the “Help” section, and then, having found the meat of any animal (swamp, mole rat, yao-gui, etc.), press the [R] key. to throw it away.
Kill the swampers
Several swampers with armor and a low level will come out of the water for meat - it won’t be difficult for you to finish them off.
Throw more meat into the water
However, this is too easy for the captain. Continue to tease the local critter and throw more meat into the water, repeating the procedure described above.
Kill the swampers
In the second round, you will have to fight the swamp hunters, who spit streams of poisonous liquid, and the Swamp King. It will be a little more difficult to deal with them, but you probably haven’t been in such Fellaut troubles.
Kill the swamp queen
You enraged the swamp mother by killing her children. Now we have to deal with her. Kill her. Here are some tips:
- Stay on the move at all times to avoid the fountains of poisonous liquid that the swamp queen spits out.
- Try not to wade into deep water - this will slow you down and prevent you from shooting.
- Beware of the swampwort babies that the queen releases to help herself. They are not so much dangerous as they are annoying.
After the swamp queen is dealt with, return to Far Harbor to Teddy Wright.

Fallout 4: assault on Fort Independence, walkthrough
Preston Garvey gives this task, saying that in order to restore the Minutemen’s former strength, they need to rebuild their old base, which is located on the territory of the Castle. To do this, he will invite the hero to meet near the Castle when it is ready, and the Fallout 4 Assault on Fort Independence task will appear in the Pip-Boy. Until this quest is completed, we will no longer be able to cross paths with Preston.
The main task will be to clean up all kinds of evil spirits in Fallout 4 Fort Independence. The hero learns that the castle was destroyed by an unknown creature that crawled out of the sea and firmly settled there, scattering all the inhabitants. Assault on Fort Independence Fallout 4, the walkthrough will begin when you find a group of Minutemen led by Preston in a destroyed house, not far from the Castle. He will offer to choose one of three plans for clearing the territory. What you choose doesn’t matter much, the result is the same - a serious battle with monsters awaits you. Your opponents will be a whole bunch of swampers, big and small. Advice: take a partner with skill and stock up on heavy weapons.
Part one
Fallout 4 passage of Fort Independence will be a real test of your strength and accuracy. The first task will be to clear the yard. You will be attacked by soft-shelled Swampers, whom you have probably already met and know how to deal with them. Advice: shoot accurately in the head, one or two hits are enough for them to die quickly. A lot of trouble will be caused by nests with swamp eggs from which Cubs will hatch. All these evil spirits will consider you their main enemy, so if possible, immediately shoot as many eggs as possible before any of them hatch yet.
Part two
After the adults are killed, it is necessary to destroy the remaining eggs in the nests in the yard, inside the building and on the walls. Attention: do not rush to destroy them! First of all, check all the nooks and crannies of the castle for weapons and ammunition, as they will be very useful in the final battle with the monster.
By destroying the eggs while completing the Fallout 4 Assault on Fort Independence quest, you will find that an enemy has appeared that is much more serious than the various small fry - the Uterus of the Swamp. Now we will see with our own eyes who destroyed the Castle.
It would not be difficult to kill her by hiding in the building and shooting from the loopholes and windows. The problem is that she appears before you destroy all the remaining eggs and swamps on the territory of the Fort. Plus, during the battle, she manages to spawn entire flocks of Cubs, which will not have any difficulty getting you even inside the Castle.
During the final battle you will have:
Boss - Swamp Queen, who spits acid;
a bunch of different small fry that you can’t hide from, and that will chase you and constantly annoy you.
The main damage will be done by the Matka, spitting acid rain at you, which even power armor will not protect you from. Caught in acid rain. immediately go into the Pip-Boy and start healing, since the damage from it is not instantaneous, but lingering and you simply won’t notice how you die. The giant is well damaged by the launcher that you will find in the building and the rockets to it. You can deal with small items using a flamethrower and charges for it, you will also find them in the building.
Final part
The next task will be Fallout 4 Assault on Fort Independence to turn on the radio transmitter. To do this, you will need to build generators with a total capacity of at least 10; if possible, build with 15 at once. Hold down the V key and the construction menu will become available to you. We make generators and connect them to the remote control, after which Preston will be delighted, we talk to him and the quest will be accepted.
Adviсe
The task is completed, but it’s too early to leave, since the Castle is also your settlement and needs to be equipped. From the created generators, draw a wire to an inconspicuous post that stands inside the yard near the hole in the wall. This way, you can electrify the entire Castle, since the wiring and lighting inside are already installed. Also, if there is enough power, the water treatment plant, which is already connected and located behind the castle, will automatically start working. In this simple way you will solve your water problem.
If you are curious, you will find a basement in Fallout 4 Fort Independence. To do this, in construction mode, find a blockage in one of the rooms and dismantle it, this will lead you to a dungeon with chemicals. laboratory and a small warehouse of provisions and weapons, you can also find a nuclear unit below.
